Not only is this the first Krispy Kreme store to open in Glasgow, it is also the largest Krispy Kreme store in the United Kingdom. The famous American firm has turned the former Clydebuilt Scottish Maritime Museum at Braehead into a restaurant and drive-thru. Cleartech were engaged by Oldershaw and Windley Ltd to carry out the HVAC Commissioning works on this building ahead of the grand opening on 2nd December 2015.
Scope of Works:
- Air Handling Unit (AHU) – 1
- Heat Recovery Unit (HRU) – 1
- Extract Fans – 4
- Supply Grilles – 23
- Extract Grilles – 23
Domestic System Commissioning
- Domestic System – 22 outlets
- TMV Commissioning – 17 TMV’s
Cleartech’s team of highly experienced HVAC commissioning engineers carried out the ventilation balancing of all systems as per current CIBSE code A, including a final report to our contractor. We carried out the temperature balancing of the domestic system to all 22 outlets and set up and tested all TMV’s (thermostatic mixing valves) including fail-safes, as per current SHTN 6 guidelines. Cleartech completed all works to project specifications.
